Sports briefs: Help DHS girls break volleyball attendance record

By From page B2 | October 02, 2013

The Davis High girls volleyball team is inviting fans to wear blue and help the team set a new attendance mark on Thursday at Break the Record Night in The Cage at DHS.

The Blue Devils are opening their Delta Valley Conference schedule by hosting Franklin that evening, with the junior varsity match set to begin at 5 p.m.

The varsity contest follows at 6 p.m.

Foxy’s Fall Century

Registration is open for the Davis Bike Club’s Foxy’s Fall Century, a ride set for Saturday, Oct. 19.

The club is offering a 100-mile endurance ride, a 60-mile “workout” and a 30-mile version — to Winters and back — that will be fun for the whole family.

Snacks, lunch and a post-ride meal are included and riders can sign up at www.davisbikeclub.org.
