The Davis Hoops Wildcats — a local nonprofit AAU basketball club that attracts players from Davis, Dixon, Woodland and surrounding areas — is presenting a one-day Junior Wildcats holiday camp on Sunday for boys and girls ages 5-9. The event will run from 1 to 5 p.m. at the old Dixon High School gym, 455 E. A St. in Dixon.
The cost of $65 includes a T-shirt and a basketball, as well as instruction from experienced coaches.
The mission of the Junior Wildcats is to introduce young athletes to the proper skills and technique of basketball while helping to develop a passion for the game, all in a fun and well-organized structure.
