Boys in grade nine through 12 who wish to keep playing lacrosse during the winter months should register for the Winter Indoor League, which will feature games in Woodland this December and January.
Athletes are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible. The deadline is Sunday and space is limited to 40 players, according to league director Adam Kenney. Cost is $120.
The games will be each Sunday, Dec. 2-16 and Jan. 6-27.
Kenney, a former Penn State attacker, is the UCD men’s lacrosse coach and a Davis Lacrosse Association mentor. For more information, contact him at 530-574-1009 or adamkenney44@gmail.com.
Buy, sell, trade or donate gear for athletes in youth leagues through high school at the third annual Boys Lacrosse Swap set for Saturday, Dec. 8.
Admission is free for the event, which runs from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Holmes Junior High multipurpose room, 1220 Drexel Drive.
In addition to bargains on used equipment, gear and clothing, Lacrosse Fanatic will be on site selling helmets, stringing supplies and other gear. Discount starter packages also will be available.
Families should bring cash, though checks may be accepted, and Lacrosse Fanatic will take credit cards.
Donations will help support the Davis High boys lacrosse teams. Drop off donations at 1804 Titian Place before Thursday, Dec. 6, or request pickup by emailing krklenzendorf@sbcglobal.net or calling 530-297-5412. Otherwise, bring donations to the swap.
