By winning both of his matches last weekend against Sacramento State, UC Davis junior Kyle Miller was named the Big West Conference’s Men’s Tennis Player of the Week on Wednesday.

In addition to teaming with Adam Luba to post an 8-6 doubles victory over Hornet duo Roy Brandys and Niranjan Ram, Miller also claimed a 7-6, 6-4 win over Aliaksandr Malko at No. 2 singles.

With the big performance, Miller improved to 3-1 in doubles this season and nearly helped the Aggies defeat their rivals in front of an energetic crowd at the Marya Welch Tennis Center.

Next up for the Pacific Grove native is the Pacific Coast Men’s Doubles Championship in La Jolla, where he and Luba will partner up to face the independent team of Esteban and Isaac Altunaon Thursday at 2:30 p.m.
