UC Davis kicker Brady Stuart, who converted 15 field goals as a redshirt freshman in 2012, has received national distinction with his inclusion on the College Football Performance Football Championship Subdivision Placekicker Award watch list for the upcoming season.

Stuart is one of 32 players on the preseason list that eventually will lead to an individual winner at the end of the year. He’s the second Aggie to be honored this summer, joining Taylor Sloat who is on the CFPA’s tight end watch list.

Stuart, a 5-foot-11, 164-pound sophomore from Newhall, enjoyed an outstanding season for the Aggies last year. He nailed 15 of 21 field-goal attempts, 31 of 32 extra-point tries and led the team with 76 points. Stuart finished in a tie for ninth in the nation with 1.36 in field goals per game, and made three FGs including a season-long 45-yarder in the Causeway Classic.

Game times announced

Though the Aggies’ football schedule has been set since March, fans whowere waiting to learn the game times before buying tickets must wait no longer.

UCD will kick off its first three home games — Sept. 14 against Northern Arizona, Sept. 21 vs. Portland State and Sept. 28 with Idaho State — at 6 p.m., with the final three Aggie Stadium outings scheduled for 4 p.m. starts. Those contests are against Montana (Oct. 12), rival Cal Poly (Nov. 2) and North Dakota (Nov. 16).
