UCD women look for revenge in Stockton

When the UC Davis women\’s basketball team is at its best, it is forcing turnovers by the boatload, getting easy baskets in transition and nailing threes in its halfcourt offense.

At 13-4 overall, 3-2 in Big West play and ranked 10th in the most recent CollegeInsiders.com Mid-Major Top 25 poll, the Aggies have been at their best a lot this season. Heading into Saturday\’s road game at Pacific, UCD is 13th in the nation in steals (12.9 per game) and 20th in 3-pointers made (7.6 pg).

But for the past three seasons, playing in the Spanos Center has not brought out the best in the
\n
Aggies. The most recent loss of a three-game skid in the Stockton saw the Aggies make just 3-of-18 treys (while the Tigers made 15-of-22 from long range) in a 74-58 defeat last year.

When Saturday\’s game tips at 4 p.m., UCD will look to Vicky Deely (37 made 3-pointers, 46 percent) and newly-healthy Kasey Riecks (23 made treys) to provide a spark. Listen to the contest on KDVS (90.3) FM.
