It was a good week for the Outlaws of the U10 division, thanks in part to fielding like this from Gabby Keller. Here the Davis Youth Softball Association infielder throws a strike to get a Flaming Demon runner at first. Wayne Tilcock/Enterprise photo

The Enforcers of the Davis Youth Softball Association won their last two games.

Pandora Sutherland drove in two runs as the Enforcers topped Dixon, 8-4, in an under-14-division contest on Monday.

Neia Wixson doubled, Jordan Vermette singled and drove in a run, Mari O’Brien added a hit and Madison Lowrie and Sarah Taylor each had runs batted in for the locals.

Defensively, Lowrie threw out a runner on a steal attempt and Abby Devareness and Renee Schuman nailed a Dixon player trying to stretch a hit into a double. Wixson also threw out a runner.

Vermette and Mikaela Hiatt pitched well for the winners.

In a Saturday 10-9 victory over Sacramento, Wixson scored the deciding run when sister Sara Wixson singled her home. Both Wixsons went 3-for-4, Neia clobbering a double.

O’Brien smacked three doubles and drove home two runs in the cliffhanger.

Hiatt tripled in the first inning and pitched five innings, fanning nine. Taylor was 2-for-3 (including a double). Haleigh Holgate doubled in two trips.

In other DYSA action, Those Guys went 1-1-1 in under-12 action.

The 8-8 tie with Team USA featured Shailah Arreola-Bittner’s 3-for-3 performance, which included two doubles, a triple and an RBI.

Isabell Watson also went 3-for-3 with an RBI and Nicole Brooks singled and drove in two runs.

Addison Lyons was 2-for-2 and Kyra Leonard and Grace Haass both singled with Haass driving in a run.

Padilla and Conner joined Watson and Brooks in making nice fielding plays.

In a 9-5 setback to Team USA, Arreola-Bittner’s two RBIs paced the team, whose other two hits were from Harwood and Brooks.

Lyons fanned seven, and Leonard, Watson, Haass, Sutcliffe and Lyons were defensively slick.
