So true. Have left Davis AYSO now. Part of the reason was that the e-mail signature lines were always trying to sell you something like Raymond James Investment Services or American Express or something. Was ridiculously obvious why some were in it as “volunteers”.

Notice how the daughter assumes both that her mom will be Select coach next year and assumes she will be selected for the Select team. Does anyone need any more proof that it is all about who you know in Davis AYSO and not about merit? Other AYSO regions are less political and their Select programs are more “All Star” programs than networking programs.
