Wildcat girls win a basketball title in Reno

The Davis Hoops Wildcats' sixth grade girls basketball team took first place in their division at the Pacific District Championship tournament, contested in Reno on April 30 and May 1. The Wildcats won four out of the five games over the two days, helped by the strong play of three locals — Cara Satre, Kelsey Forrester and Nicole Pugh (12). The squad, which includes other players from around the area and went 23-6 during the season, advanced to the West Coast Nationals in Las Vegas, which will be played July 21-24. Courtesy photo

The Davis Hoops Wildcats’ sixth grade girls basketball team took first place in their division at the Pacific District Championship tournament, contested in Reno on April 30 and May 1.

The Wildcats won four out of the five games over the two days, helped by the strong play of three locals — Cara Satre, Kelsey Forrester and Nicole Pugh.

The squad, which includes other players from around the area and went 23-6 during the season, advanced to the West Coast Nationals in Las Vegas, which will be played July 21-24.
